WOW!!!!! WHAT A PARTY!!!!!
Yes, the Leavenworth Ale-Fest on April 18 was great and everyone
had a fun time while tasting the 40 interesting brews offered.
What a job the judges had to pick the winners!
Music was provided by Washington bands, and the Festhalle was
livened up in the afternoon by the wild and wooly Sauer Kraut
Band!! The headliner Chumstick Liberation Front was so good the
graphic designer has forgiven them for having to put such a long
name on the poster!
Foods were delicious with sausages, pizza, pulled pork
sandwiches and the award winning cheese samplings by the local
Cheesemonger. Smoked salmon, served by the local Trout Unlimited
members was a special treat!
Yes, it was truly an “Ale-Of-A-Party” at the Leavenworth
Festhalle, and we are looking forward to April 17, 2010 for the
4th annual fund raiser for the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum.
Profits from the Ale-Fest will benefit the
Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum, a local non-profit organization.
Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum Mission Statement:
"To foster and encourage the interest of the general public of
the importance of nuts in the diets of humans throughout history
and in the evolution of the nutcracker. No other tool or
collectible has shown such a wide diversity of material and
design as the implements used to crack the hard shell of a nut". |
